Winegrowers
Céline and Nicolas, originally Alsatians, Beaujolais at hearts! After our oenology degree and a few travels across the world, we have decided to create our own estate. Impressed by the region, its charm, its wines and the traditional production and human dimensions of its farming, we settled in 2011 in Chénas.
The Estate
We operate 5 hectares of vine. Mainly of Chénas, old hillside vines on granite at a place called Les Brureaux. But also Moulin à vent, Juliénas, Beaujolais Villages and a few white vines. We cultivate our vines in organic farming and high density, between 9,000 and 12,000 feet per hectare. Master and independent winegrowers, we perform all the work ourselves, from the vineyard, up to the cellar and trade.
The Wines
We make our wines naturally, harvesting manually, without adding yeast and without filtering.
Traditional winemaking in whole bunches and carbonic maceration makes greedy and fruity wines: Beaujolais Villages, Chénas and Juliénas.
Our worth keeping wines, matured in oak casks, have character and length: Moulin à Vent and Chénas Les Brureaux.
We produce also whites : Les Terrasses, Sylvaner, Mâcon-Villages and Pouilly-Fuissé.
